DJI Mavic 4 Pro & Mavic 3 Pro filming
Small enough to carry up a hill, quick enough to be flying a minute after we arrive, and good enough for broadcast. The Mavic is our go-to for travel films, real estate, events and anything shot for social.
Where the Mavic beats bigger drones
A cinema drone needs a crew, cases and time. A Mavic fits in a backpack. That matters on a trek to a viewpoint, on a boat, at a wedding where you have to move between venues, or on a commercial with twenty setups in a day.
Both of our Mavics carry three cameras with different focal lengths. A wide camera for establishing shots and two telephoto cameras for compressed, cinematic looks: a temple framed against the hills, or a car isolated on a mountain road. You can't get those from one fixed wide lens.
- Travel and tourism films, resorts and destinations
- Real estate and architecture: townships, villas, commercial buildings, construction progress
- Events and weddings where the crew has to stay light and mobile
- Social and vertical content for Reels, Shorts and stories

Mavic 4 Pro or Mavic 3 Pro?
DJI Mavic 4 Pro
Released in 2025. Its main camera has a 100MP 4/3-inch sensor and an adjustable aperture, and it records 6K video. The headline feature is its gimbal: it rotates a full 360 degrees and tilts upward, which means true vertical video without cropping, plus rolling and Dutch-angle shots that used to need a much bigger drone.
- Main camera
- 100MP 4/3-inch, 28mm, f/2.0–f/11
- Tele cameras
- 70mm (48MP) and 168mm (50MP)
- Video
- Up to 6K at 60fps
- Gimbal
- 360° rotation, tilts up to 70°
DJI Mavic 3 Pro
The proven three-camera Mavic. Its 4/3-inch main camera gives clean, grade-friendly footage, and the 70mm and 166mm telephotos add the same range of looks at a lower cost. A good fit for real estate, documentation and longer events where reliability matters more than the newest features.
- Main camera
- 4/3-inch, 24mm equivalent
- Tele cameras
- 70mm and 166mm
- Video
- Up to 5.1K
- Best for
- Real estate, events, documentation
Mavic questions
Is Mavic footage good enough for TV or a film?
For many shots, yes, especially wide establishing shots and travel sequences. When the aerials have to match a cinema camera exactly, or you need specific lenses, the Inspire 3 is the better tool. We'll recommend one per shot.
Can you shoot vertical video for Instagram and YouTube Shorts?
Yes. The Mavic 4 Pro's gimbal rotates to shoot natively in portrait, so you get full-resolution vertical footage instead of a crop from a landscape frame.
Do you rent the Mavic without a pilot?
No. Every drone we provide comes with our certified pilot. See drone rental with pilot for how that works.
